The Greatest Memory

Welcome to The Berry Shed once again! The blueberries are quite blue without you here to pick them.... Okay, that was kind of cheesy. But come down here and grab a bucket and get going! The sun isn't exactly feeling bright today, so the cloud cover is a benefit to all of us. Ever had sunburnt lips? Yeah, not fun. The little breeze that we have makes the day a little chilly so far, so maybe you want to bring a jacket if you get cold very easily like me. Sir Andy would like a little company. His dog days are getting old. I don't know about you, but I am looking forward to the weekend! Hanging out with friends is so much fun! Ecspecially when you can pick some berries together. It brings out the funny in people, it really does!

As for the post titles, I like to get all fancy and such. So... the greatest memory you have ever had. What is it? Could it be your high school dance? Could it be when you went on a vacation? Could it be that one time when you were picking blueberries with your family? Whatever it is, I hope it's a good one.

As I hope you know, The Berry Shed is north of Joplin, Missouri. Drive south for about 15 minutes, and Hwy 43 turns into Main Street of Joplin. This town, the 4th largest city in Missouri, as to correct all of those television commentators saying it was a "tiny farming town," was recently hit by a tornado. We have all heard the news. But I want to tell you about the business part of it. Many businesses were taken away, and Joplin needs to rebuild. But they need to do it in a smart way. Buy products locally. Invest in small businesses that are just now developing. Support your town. Build green.  We, the people of Joplin, cannot grow and live in a town if the town isn't economically stable. It's easy!

That was just a little tid-bit to think about as you drive to and from work today. :)

Oh! And here is today's sunrise! You know, just in case you were sleeping and you couldn't see it. :)
